Clinton Makes Final Push

County bids farewell to Miller

During her four terms, the county preserved about 18,000 acres of open space. She spearheaded the restoration of original county deeds and arranged for the return of the bell that hung in the steeples of the original county courthouses from 1813 to 1960. Miller, who was appointed when the county was facing the final downsizing of USX Corp. and the closure of the Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster, also said she was proud of instituting the hotel tax to fund tourism. At the same time, Miller voted for budgets that included tax increases and approved GOP appointments to boards and authorities.
